Traditional medecine

According to oriental conception in general and in particular in Vietnam, the Universe is based on the balance between Yin and Yang, with the rotation of five elements: Metal, wood, water, fire and soil.
We must understand that these are not precise elements but it is the abstract notion that means: Rotation, constant and reciprocal movement between these elements.

The traditional medicine group five organs of the body to be equivalent to five elements: Kidney, Heart, Liver, Lung, Spleen. But, this is a simple understanding.

As the concept of five elements is both precise but also abstract. So, we understand that it is a function group:

The kidney contains water, produces sperm.... Therefore, the kidney is only a representative system.
The Heart is a part of the vascular system. Therefore, the Heart is the representative of this system.
........

Traditional medicine believes that: All diseases come from imbalances. That is why, to stop the disease, we must find the reason for this imbalance to balance them.

For example: If you have a stomach ache that is classified as: Soil. The reason for this pain is the element: Wood: Heart, for example which is too strong: It is clear that there are imbalances between: Soil and Wood in this case. Therefore, we must strengthen the Soil while weakening the Wood.

The doctor takes the pulse to find the imbalance. He knows what kind of herbs to use, mix the amount proportionately.

The medicine school has always the formation of traditional doctors.

Currently, in every city and province, a hospital in western medicine and a hospital of traditional medicine are still together.

Moreover, in daily life, the Vietnamese are very strong in use herbs to treat some diseases: Fever, flu ... and to eat but in the medicinal purposes.
